Dear Parents,
Hello! My name is Kathlene Wilson and I am the new 6th grade teacher at St. Peter's for the 2012-2013 school year. I am so blessed to have been given the opportunity to come to St. Peters and meet each of you and to know your students this year. I graduated from California State University, Stanislaus in 2008 with a Bachelor's degree in English Literature. In 2010 I worked as a student teacher for a first grade classroom and received my Multiple Subject teaching credential. Currently, I am working toward my Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis on Reading and obtaining a Reading Specialist credential. I am scheduled to graduate in May!
This upcoming school year is going to be filled with a variety of activities that will supplement the content introduced within the classroom. I will be teaching literature, social studies, and science for my 6th graders as well as science for 7th and 8th grade. As a new teacher at St. Peter's school I am looking forward to meeting and getting to know each of my students and them to get to know me. I forsee a year full of academics, activities, and laughter as we learn about eachother and our course work during the school year.
I apologize if there is any information that I have neglected to provide you in this letter but do welcome you to contact me at any time as I feel that communication between parents and teachers is an essential tool to your studen't success and your confidence in my ability to educate him/her.
Yours Truly,
Kathlene Wilson
